What are "Ah Ha Cards"?
They are a set of 75 beautiful cards and can be used easily and effectively by everyone, exploring any situation, to stimulate nourishing Ah Ha experiences - insight, understanding and clarity. They can be used in many different ways to support communication, resolve conflict and create connection amongst people of all ages and skill levels.

The Ah Ha cards, created in Byron Bay, Australia, are inspired by Dr M Rosenberg's revolutionary communication process known as Nonviolent Communication (NVC) or Compassionate Communication (CC) and universal needs, qualities or values (see cnvc.org).
Paulette is a Certified NVC Trainer and is passionate about the healing and connecting power of empathy. She created these cards to support compassionate connections to happen.

Who Can Use Them?
The Ah Ha cards have been used with ease by adults and children, some with experience with NVC and others completely new to it.
There are many activities and games that can be enjoyed with Ah Ha cards, to provide deep insight or light ponderings, depending upon the activities chosen and user's preference.

There are many ways to use the cards alone or with others, to gain insight, clarity and understanding, including those outlined here.

Thanks Paulette, the cards arrived safely. I have used them a couple of times and found them very useful identifying underlying needs in a situation of conflict. Once with my partner, (who is not very familiar with nvc yet....and I am not very skillful or practiced yet)... I found it much easier to understand his feelings after sorting out the unmet needs, and willing to modify my behaviour considering the importance of those needs. Previously I was resistant, feeling pushed into doing something i didn't always want to do. Then a week or so later in a nvc discussion group, I looked at my needs in the same situation, and understood more fully my own needs which were resulting in my resistance to his request. Which relieved some guilt I had been feeling, and made it easier to give. So it has been a good start in the process of communication, and has been encouraging to find the cards effective. Focusing on the empathy cards gives some relief from the intensity of feelings. These cards do give empathy! I also like how beautiful they are, and the element of play that always lightens a situation,
