Enable more harmony, trust, clarity and joy in your relationships
About Paulette![]() Hello.
I am Paulette, living near Byron Bay NSW with my daughter, husband and our little fur ball - Georgie Girl. With a genuine interest in people, Psychology and relationships, it is no surprise that when I was introduced to Nonviolent Communication/Compassionate Communication in 2002, and experienced its power to enable clear communication, to resolve conflict and to create deeper connections, I wanted to make it part of my life. It was one of my best decisions! I energetically studied with many Certified NVC Trainers including Dr Marshall Rosenberg, the founder of NVC and in 2011 I become a CNVC Internationally Certified Trainer too. I am indescribably grateful to have had Compassionate Communication as a resource to draw upon for my most precious relationships - my relationship with my husband, my parenting, with friends, my community and with myself. Compassionate Communication has supported me to hold compassion for myself in the "wee hours" of a sleepless night, to listen fully to my children free of "fixing"; to navigate differences with my husband in ways that honour us all, and more. Compassionate Communication has helped me and my family move through the colour, the turbulence, the expected and the unexpected in life with more ease and compassion than we once might have. I continue to enthusiastically share NVC with others, supporting people to enjoy healthy relationships and to integrate NVC into their daily lives through Practice Groups, Foundation and Advanced Trainings, Coaching and Mediation - online and in person. As well as empowering individuals and connecting couples, I have taught NVC in both state and Steiner schools and TAFE classes. Also, organisations including Interrelate, Parent Team, Byron Homeschooling Group, North Coast Area Health, Byron Private, Community Centres and many more. I'm excited by the inspiring potential for transformation NVC opens for participants, whether they be couples, parents, teachers, health professionals - everyone - and that each one of us, through our own lives, is contributing to peace and compassion in the world. You can choose what works for you - in person, Zoom, telephone - let's start now! About Paulette's FacilitationPaulette creates a supportive and respectful learning environment in her trainings. Byron Bay paulette, steady, creative, thoughtful, warm, giraffe-size-hearted, dedicated, brave & kind. i’m so grateful & delighted to have met you ! :)))
thankyou so so much for your time, your stories, your practice, years of trial & error, self-compassion, courage, & love for what you teach. it was an honour to share such an intricate space with someone who can guide & nurture it so fluently & seamlessly. i admire how much heart you gave to every session, trusting that what takes love, returns more. a real treasure ! i’ve really enjoyed learning from you, & watching how you teach. you did an absolutely brilliant job of turning something impersonal & mechanical (zoom) into something alive & magic & human. thankyou for the ease you brought. the peace, the lightheartedness, the wisdom. i loved getting to be part of your class & im so humbled & thankful to have met you :))) Hananh S. Tasmania My partner and I took Paulette's online course and even though only after the second session, I found it surprisingly profound and very enlightening. As a physical therapist, I encountered a female patient with a complex medical negligence past which resulted in a radical mastectomy and a full hysterectomy. I already understood she was noticeably angry about it in general and when I accidentally caused her pain around her surgical site, she erupted in shock, tears and anger towards me and also her past. As I knew she had been disappointed by every Male practitioner, doctor, surgeon, oncologist and therapist involved in her case previously I was acutely aware of the emotional backlog I had accidentally invited forth. Paulette's words and teachings from the lesson the night before became instantly relevant. I reflected back to her for about half an hour naming the emotions I witness and reflection my appreciation of what that must have been like for her. Even if I was off with my reflections we were both able to move through what seemed like an immense amount of suppressed grief that seemed buried under a huge amount of anger and blame. She later mentioned that she had never been able to express her deepest emotions and process much of the pain and what seemed at first like a trainwreck turned out to be one of the most tender moments of healing I had witnessed this year. Paulette was able to impress upon me the importance of reflecting emotions as a listener and not trying to change anything for the person speaking, but it turned out I didn't need to... and that little piece turned out to be a vital and missing part of this woman's journey. Looking forward to learning more! A. C. Physical Therapist, NSW "I am so grateful for the enriching, inspirational reminders of where my heart sings, and where I long to live. Congratulations on your Certification, Paulette. May you share CC far and wide." C Carter. Parent Byron Bay "A heart based, practical and very inspiring workshop which is very empowering to grow in daily life, in all aspects - relationships, parenting...
Paulette, by the quality of her presence, skills and experience is holding this workshop with the essence of what I'd like to see unfold in the world: compassion in action by the recognition of the feelings and needs behind everyone's behaviour. Truly inspiring. Thank you." Sophie de Boisseson Mullumbimby I highly recommend Paulette as a facilitator of the Foundation course of NVC. She provided a very safe and nurturing space, explained all the NVC principles very clearly and provided wonderful experiential processes for us to practise the principles so we could really learn and embody them. I came out of the two days with a very thorough and solid understanding of the principles of NVC and the confidence to go out into the world and begin to use them. I look forward to continuing ongoing NVC training and support from Paulette and feel so excited at how much my life is going to blossom as I begin to master these skills. Thanks so much for all your love Paulette and for your wisdom, your willingness to share and your big heart! Tahnee W. Byron Bay
